Wizard Of Oz Doll Collection
Madame Alexander created quite a few dolls based on Hollywood characters but the most famous and adored are the “Wizard of Oz Doll Collections” based on The 1939 Wizard of Oz American Musical base on a 1900 children’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Which later was telecast in 1956 and became Americas most beloved film of all times (I remember as a child watching the show every time it came on television, it was always a treat.)

It is amazing to think that this collection of characters has been around for over 70 years. I can still recall the first time I watched it, scarred and excited all at the same time.

Love these dolls. I wish I had more room in my home for them. My daughter loves them to and has a couple. She also loves the American Girl Dolls, playing and reading there books.

The Wizard of Oz has always been my daughter’s favorite story. She’s a bit too old for dolls now, otherwise these would have been a great gift. A blast from the past. Thanks for sharing.
